Primare is a Swedish company, founded in 1980, specializes in the production of network-, CD-, players and amplifiers premium. In the early 1980s, a leading Danish industrial designer and passionate audiophile, Bo Christensen intended to create a new type of audio company. Frustrated by the sound quality, aesthetics and user interface of the “typical” sound equipment, he created a design team that included the talented engineer Bent Nielsen to form a technology group called Primare Systems AB.

Their corporate mission was, above all, components with exceptional sound quality. Secondly, products should have an elegant appearance, clear proportions and a user-friendly interface. In addition, it was decided to abandon the standard twelve-month product life cycle and instead develop “live products” that can easily evolve as technology and methodologies change. A powerful combination of pure Scandinavian design, a simple but elegant layout and a friendly interface created audio players of extraordinary originality.

In 2019, an independent EISA team of experts selected the IS 35 Prisma Network Player as the best product for its combination of innovation, ergonomics and performance.
